About SWLDC

Saskatchewan Workforce & Labour Market Development Centre is a non-profit organization committed to advancing workforce development, economic inclusion and employment opportunities throughout Saskatchewan.

We collaborate with community organizations, employers, educators, and government partners to respond to labour market needs and support individuals at every stage of their career journey.

Workforce Development
At the Saskatchewan Workforce & Labour Market Development Centre, workforce development is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to helping individuals gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to succeed in today’s evolving labour market.
Our workforce development initiatives are designed to respond directly to Saskatchewan’s current and emerging labour market needs. We support job seekers at every stage of their career journey – from newcomers and youth entering the workforce to experienced workers seeking reskilling or career transitions.

Economic InclusionEconomic inclusion is a core pillar of our mission. We believe that everyone deserves equitable access to employment, training, and economic opportunity – regardless of background, circumstance, or barriers to participation.

The Saskatchewan Workforce & Labour Market Development Centre actively works to reduce employment barriers faced by underrepresented and vulnerable populations, including newcomers, Indigenous peoples, youth, persons with disabilities, and individuals facing systemic or socio-economic challenges.

Our programs and partnerships focus on:

  • Improving access to skills training and employment pathways
  • Supporting inclusive hiring practices
  • Connecting individuals to wraparound supports and community resources
  • Empowering individuals to achieve financial independence and stability

By promoting inclusive workforce participation, we help build stronger communities, reduce poverty, and ensure Saskatchewan’s economy benefits from the full potential of its diverse population.

Strategic PartnershipStrong partnerships are essential to achieving meaningful workforce and economic outcomes. The Saskatchewan Workforce & Labour Market Development Centre collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders to create coordinated, impactful solutions to labour market challenges.

We work in partnership with:

  • Employers and industry leaders
  • Community-based organizations
  • Educational and training institutions
  • Government agencies and funders

Through these strategic partnerships, we align resources, share expertise, and develop programs that are responsive, practical, and results-driven. Our collaborative approach ensures that job seekers receive relevant supports while employers gain access to skilled, job-ready talent.

By fostering collaboration across sectors, we strengthen workforce ecosystems, support sustainable employment pathways, and advance shared goals for economic growth and social well-being throughout Saskatchewan.
