Empowering People. Strengthening Skills. Building Saskatchewan’s Workforce.

The Saskatchewan Workforce & Labour Market Development Centre is a community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing workforce development, employment readiness, and economic inclusion across Saskatchewan.

We support individuals and communities by helping people gain the skills, confidence, and connections needed to succeed in today’s evolving labour market. Through collaboration with job seekers, newcomers, employers, and community partners, we create pathways to employment, skills development, and long-term economic success.

Mission and Vision

SWLDC exists to empower individuals, support employers, and strengthen Saskatchewan’s labour market. Our mission is to advance workforce development, employment readiness, and economic inclusion by providing accessible, responsive, and community-driven programs that help people gain skills, secure meaningful employment, and succeed in a changing economy.

We envision a skilled, inclusive, and resilient Saskatchewan workforce where:

  • Individuals have equitable access to employment and skills development opportunities
  • Newcomers and underrepresented populations are fully integrated into the labour market
  • Employers have access to job-ready talent that meets current and future workforce needs
  • Communities are strengthened through sustainable employment and economic participation

What We Do

Employment & Career Readiness: We help individuals prepare for the workforce through job search support, resume development, interview preparation, and career coaching.

Skills Development & Training: We support access to skills training, certifications, and workforce development initiatives that match current and emerging labour market needs.

Newcomer Workforce Integration: We assist newcomers with employment readiness, workplace orientation, and connections to employers, helping them successfully enter and thrive in Saskatchewan’s labour market.

Employer & Community Partnerships: We collaborate with employers, industry groups, and community organizations to develop workforce solutions that address skills gaps and support economic growth.
